1-Lounge - Unique worseness

With high spirits we went to the so called over-hyped club named as "1 - Lounge". The lounge true to its name might be the "One" and only lounge in Pune city which went on to disappoint us in terms of almost everything.

Some of my friends had zeroed in on One-lounge to go and have a nice fun-filled evening though it was around 30 Kms away from our place. Upon searching a little more about the place we got to know that the place was featuring a DJ night and we finalized the place for the party –plan the night.
Travelling a tedious distance and crossing umpteen miles we reached the place (overlooking all the advises of visiting some of the nice places around our vicinity).
When we entered there was an entry fees of Rs 500/- per girl which seemed to be quite reasonably, more so since it was with the full cover charge. Moving inside and checking out the ambience our spirits lifted a bit, since the place seemed quite spacious and it seating was under the open sky. We were approached by one of the staff and told about the ongoing offer in the lounge, which seemed pretty good, but here on things started going down-hill.
Being as hungry as we were, we couldn’t wait much longer to order the food, so we took up the food menu to order some appetizers. Much to our dismay the menu constituted a handful of vegetarian Indian and European dishes (this two being the only cuisines available in the house). We went quickly through the menu (literally, since it was a petite menu, especially for the veggies), and ordered an Indian starter made of cottage cheese and assorted vegetables alognwith a plate of Crostinni.
Upon a reasonable wait the crosstinni arrived first, and a look at it left us baffled. There were six considerably small pieces in the plate, that too with 3 different types of topping, one of them being entirely a paste of mint and coriander. Needless to say we eagerly waited for the next order to arrive. The vegetable balls could be gulped in a very small bite and that’s all there was to it.
After the first round of starters among us four people, we called for another one named as Kodiwala Paneer, which was said to be cottage cheese dipped in gram flour and fried. Till then we could figure out that the quantity of the meal was enough to let us just taste it, so we didn’t have high hopes from then on. True to our expectations the starter arrived, which was slightly better in taste than the last two but equal in quantity.
We had tried almost all interesting looking and edible starters on the menu, so we thought of going for the Main Course, hoping against the hope for it to have a better taste and quantity than the starters.  So we ordered Penne Alfredo, which was a type of red sauce pasta.
Upon arrival of the dish I could figure out that all the items on the menu had been made to quench the appetite of a single person, since the bowl of pasta was over before we could say “Cheese”.
The food was nothing compared to the music that was being played on, even though after requesting the DJ to play some foot-tapping songs, he continued to play the pathetic instrumental rock music incessantly. The crowd was supposed to be nice but that too was not that apparent, specially looking at the drooling sick people sitting on the seat next to us.
We excused ourselves from the place and went out and headed back home. Irritated, frustrated and hungry (yes we were still hungry) we headed towards our favourite Burger Joint and helped ourselves to the scrumptilious burgers. Finally we were content, atleast it terms of the food and went home and headed to sleep.
Little could we do after a long devastating day.

My advice is until you are a big time drunkard, and not at all in the mood of eating, hit the place, but then be drunk enough so that the poor song collection by the DJ doesn’t affect you.
